Balanced Vision

“No human relation gives one possession in another—every two souls are absolutely different. In friendship or in love, the two side by side raise hands together to find what one cannot reach alone.”

~ Kahlil Gibran

It is not uncommon for couples to come into therapy proclaiming that they were raised differently from one another.

Of course you were.

Even twins, raised in the same household, will have a different perspective on events that they experienced together.

It’s called perspective and even a 5 or 25 or 180 degree different perspective allows us to see one object, one situation, one event completely different from another.

In actuality, that’s pretty cool….from my perspective.

Just think of the depth of vision that can happen when both visions are woven together.  Imagine how your life can be deeper and your vision more broad when you blend your views vs when you fight over who is right and who is wrong.

Do you prefer to be happy or to be right?

Which  energizes you most?
